In October of 1868, Bremen Bank was chartered and opened in the St. Louis suburb of Bremen. Since that time, the bank has grown and prospered, surviving the Depression and other events which have proved fatal to the less well-managed financial institutions in the area.

Today, Bremen Bank & Trust Company is proud of its rich heritage of being an important contributor to over a century of St. Louis progress. In its customer annals are the names of many of St. Louis' most prominent and respected citizens. Many families, pleased with the attention and close personal service, have been customers for generations.

The bank still operates in the tradition of its founders, serving the needs of individuals, companies and trusts. Directed by a group of highly-responsible officers and directors, it remains a vital financial force in the area, with up-to-date services and progressive policies. As the oldest independent bank in St. Louis, Bremen Bank's basic philosophy of personal service and a family-type interest in its customers makes it unique among modern banking institutions.
